Our Sheffield Clinic is ready to help you.

About Kate Yeoman

Some physiotherapists treat the part that hurts. Kate treats the person it belongs to.

Physiotherapist, Founder, and Sheffield Local

Since qualifying in 2020, Kate has built Sigma around a simple but demanding standard: find the actual cause, not just the symptom. Treat the whole person, not just the painful part. And make sure every patient leaves understanding their body better than when they arrived.

A Different Kind of Physiotherapy

Kate's approach goes beyond what most physiotherapy clinics offer.

Kate holds qualifications in two advanced methodologies that set her apart from most physiotherapy practices: P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex) and Recursive Human Mechanics (RHM).

She has been practising P-DTR for six years, and has since integrated RHM to deepen her assessment framework further.

Most clinical care looks for the one thing that's broken and fixes that. These two approaches start somewhere else entirely.

P-DTR works with the nervous system's role in creating and maintaining dysfunction, identifying the neurological patterns driving a patient's pain or movement problem, rather than just managing the symptoms those patterns produce.

RHM goes broader. It recognises that your nervous system, hormones, immune system, muscles and joints, metabolism, and state of mind aren't separate departments, they're constantly in conversation with each other. Many symptoms aren't isolated malfunctions. They're the visible edge of a loop running somewhere deeper in the system, which is exactly why they can be so stubborn to shift with a single, targeted fix.

Together, P-DTR and RHM allow Kate to assess patients at a depth most clinics simply don't reach, looking not just at what hurts, but at why the body settled into this pattern in the first place.

For patients who've tried the standard approach and kept coming back to square one, this is usually the thing that finally makes sense of their experience.
